Cave Trekking / Ice Cave Zillertal
The cave at Spannagel Haus (Spannagelhöhle)
It is a serious cave and there are two different ways to explore this beauty:
Simple tour:
Equipped with helmets and raincoats you walk down into the main gallery where erosion and debris the size of a football give an idea of the force of torrents that helped create this network of caves. This part of the cave is electrified and easy to do, but still very impressive.
Cave Trekking
A real adventure in summer and winter! We get into some serious caving gear and climb and crawl deep into this beautiful cave. There will be some pretty dark repels and even a flying fox to bring you over deep shafts. It’s a unique challenge for sporty people without claustrophobia. The cave is beautiful and offers stalactites, stalagmites, coloured marble and many bizarre formations only nature can come up with. Duration: 4/5 hours

Ice cave on 3.250m!
Only two years ago they found a massive ice cave just below the peak of the Hintertux glacier. The cave winds itself deep into the glacier and you will find yourself 25m underneath the surface in the middle of glowing ice crystals, bizarre formations, deep gorges, mini glacial lakes… it’s a natural phenomenon that you should check out when you visit Hintertux.
